Biography —
Dr. Lane joined KU's Department of Civil Engineering in 1976. In addition to his position in the School of Engineering, he also has an appointment in the Environmental Studies Program. In addition, Dr. Lane serves as Director of the Environmental Engineering & Science Graduate Program and Director of the Environmental Engineering & Science Research Laboratory Center for Research, Inc.
His teaching and research interests include air pollution control, air quality, air pollution monitoring, aerosol science and transportation-related air pollution control. Dr. Lane has served on the Science Review Committee for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He won a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Award for Research Excellence and a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Bronze Medal for Research Excellence. Dr. Lane. is a American Society of Civil Engineers Fellow.
